        K, but what is a rig, exactly?

These are not the big oil platforms in the North Sea or the Gulf of Mexico. They are used to drill wells, from where the oil is extracted. After the drilling is completed, a rig will be moved off site and the well topped by a wellhead.


No confundir "rig" y "wells", que es lo que tú, alb, haces para luego acusar a los demás de no entender nada. Las plataformas son las que hacen los pozos, pero no producen petróleo directamente si no a través de los varios pozos que perforan. La productividad por plataforma es una cosa, la que muestra tu gráfico, y la productividad por pozo, de la que hablábamos, otra bien distinta. Y nunca, en su mejor momento (entre los meses 1 y 3), supera los 800 b/d.

¿Queda claro o ni aún así vas a caer del burro?
